If you have problems with low energy or depression in the grey months, you may be affected by Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and you may benefit from light therapy. I have been using the Verilux HappyLite to get me through the winter and fall for years now. Every morning I sit at my computer, drink tea, answer emails and soak up the light. Often, I’ll power it up in the afternoon, as well.
In case you were wondering, SAD therapy lights only produce light in the visible spectrum, so there is no UV radiation and you cannot get skin cancer or a tan from sitting in front of one.
